ALBUM - Hum Dono

Hum Dono is a 1961 film produced by Dev Anand and Navketan films. Amarjeet is credited as the film's director, but producer and star Dev Anand claimed that it was his brother Vijay Anand, who directed the film, based on his own script. The film stars Dev Anand in a double role, and also has Sadhana, Nanda and Leela Chitnis. The movie is loosely based on the Bengali movie Uttarayan. The film was remade in Telugu as Ramuni Minchina Ramudu with N. T. Rama Rao.

 

Identical soldiers become entangled in each other's lives after one of them falls in battle. When one is presumed dead, the other goes to inform the family but confusions arise as he looks identical.

 

Music composed by Jaidev and lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi. The songs were sung by Mohammad Rafi, Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar.
