ALBUM - Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is a 2014 romantic comedy film written and directed by Shashank Khaitan in his directorial debut, and produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions. It features Varun Dhawan as Humpty Sharma, Alia Bhatt as Kavya Pratap Singh and Sidharth Shukla as Angad Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania notes the second pairing of leads after their debut Student of the Year and was released on 11 July 2014 and emerged a commercial success. A sequel, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, was released in 2017.

 

A girl from Ambala, Kavya Pratap Singh, is about to be married to an NRI. When she visits Delhi to shop for her trousseau, she meets Humpty Sharma, a carefree Delhiite, and falls in love with him.

 

The film's soundtrack is composed by Sachin-Jigar and Shaarib-Toshi with lyrics penned by Kumaar, Irshad Kamil and movie director Shashank Khaitan. The song "Saturday Saturday" was the first single track released, which was originally composed by The Titans, Badshah and recreated by Sharib-Toshi. The song "Samjhawan" was originally taken from 2010 Punjabi film Virsa music done by Jawad Ahmed and sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Farah Anwar.
