In the year 1982, fender started to build the low cost, budget-friendly guitars, by seeing in the rise of the demand and popularity of its main streamline Fender Stratocasters. So the Squier series was reborn. Although it was initially started in 1890 by Victor Carroll Squier and in 1965 the legendary Leo Fender acquired it. History is always interesting, although it was not in the schools. Hahahaha. Let’s dive in gals and boys.

Squier Stratocaster Series for today

• Squier Bullet Stratocaster: These guitars are manufactured in China, India and Indonesia. You will only find a fender squire logo on these guitars, rest nothing will be like the real Fender guitars. Never ever in your life buy this cheapest quality of guitar. Never Ever Buy this even, Until and Unless you are going to impress your those deaf dumb girlfriends or friends who don’t know even a “G” about the guitars, or until and unless you want to show off for few days and then you are planning to never touch it again till you die. The parts, the tone, strings, the frets, the neck etc etc, everything on this model of Squier is a piece of shit. So here it goes for you, the buyers or the Beginners, A Big No From My Side.

So I am not at all bothered for sharing it’s features and all because that will be the wastage of your and my time too.

So let’s get to the real deal here :

• Squier Affinity Stratocaster: These are the best entry-level guitars. Squier Affinity Stratocasters are the Squier guitars from where you can start to consider buying an electric guitar and that too only if you are a fan of blues, jazz, soft rock, rock, contemporary music styles and are planning to follow one of these musical paths. Squire Affinity somehow, very little though, will give you an idea and feel of what a real American or even Mexican fender would feel and sound like. They make a very good launching pad for beginner guitarists. This guitar is definitely a value for the money.

Let’s discuss some of the features of Affinity Squier Stratocaster

Build:

A. Body

It uses the same basic design and construction that made Strats the most dominant electric instruments history. Poplar body and Maple neck and this classic combination delivers a classic single-coil sound. Earlier the body was used to be of Alder.

B. Neck

The neck is a Maple C-shaped carved and has a satin finish.It helps in making most fretting hands happy.It has the that iconic Strat headstock that we all love.

C. Bridge

A vintage-style floating vibrato bridge adds all the wang bar magic a Strat needs to have and also allows for precise intonation and string height adjustment.

D. Electronics (pickups)

The Affinity sports the expected trio of single-coil pickups that have been the heart of Stratocaster tones since time immemorial. Wired to a five-position selector switch, they provide all the sounds needed for this type of instrument.

It comes with the HSS configuration as well. HSS means humbucker single coil single coil pick up configuration set. Having a humbucker in your bridge position will give you a bright and meaty tone that somehow is lacked in a single coil pick ups placed at bridge. Having a humbucker is always a good option in guitar. But again Fender is known for it SSS configuration. That’s an old saying. We all can be an iconoclast , can’t we?

The neck pickup is warm and full, always giving you that vintage fender sound.

The bridge pickup is just right for some epic solos but again are two thin sounding ,which I personally don’t like,

The Two and Four positions are always delightfully quacky.

These pickups were designed to reproduce the star-making sounds of vintage units and Fender hit that target dead-on, as always.

A very good beginner guitar which can be used till you want it to use. It will never grow old. There are multiple beautiful color choices available on Fender website, go there and choose your first guitar and get ready to rock on cheers. This is one of the Best Beginner Guitars for Eric Clapton, JohnMayer, David Gilmour, Jimmi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler lovers, in hindsight for the blues, country, alternative rock, jazz, hard rock lovers.
